Do You Realize?

  1. "you have the most, beau-ti-ful face" haha
i really like what you did with the lines in the background, it gives the piece much more depth, and a slightly landscape feel.
what medium do you use? is it mostly watercolor?
and another question i have is about the big bright orangy thing around the face. ir reminds me of the big white poofy things that queens and victorian dutches' would wear around thier necks, and then that would make the blue background like the folds of her gown or something. just speculating. way cool piece :)

  2. I guess I should have put the mediums underneath the print. ^^;; This one is an intaglio print and I used Winsor & Newton inks along with Copic markers to color it in. The orangy this is hair, this is a test print I did before I added in the lines that made it look more like hair. When I was doing the lines in the background I went in the direction of using cross contour and it came out this way. If you're interested in checking out the variations of this print you should go to my site: www.terpconnect.umd.edu/~aeengle
    Thanks for the interest!
